Blind Pew Sign To A List Records
One of Scotlands most popular and promising live acts has finally achieved the recognition it deserves. Occasionally irreverent, often satirical and always ear-catching, Blind Pew have recently signed to London-based A List Records. "In terms of performance and timeless, quality songs, Blind Pew stand ten feet taller than everyone else" says Cary George, Chairman of A List Music Group. "We are delighted at this signing."
The band's first single will be released on A List in early 2007, followed by their as-yet-untitled debut album.
"Signing a record deal is our biggest achievement to date. As a band, you slog away for so many years and then finally someone has as much faith in the music as you do. It feels like a good bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes", says Blind Pew guitarist and longtime cereal-endorser Paul McGranaghan.
To celebrate their signing and showcase some new material to their growing legion of fans, Blind Pew will play two shows next month: Glasgow (Nice 'n' Sleazy, 4th November) and Edinburgh (Bannerman's, 3rd November). They'll also play at In The City as part of an A List showcase, on 29th October.
Blind Pew signed to Dicelines Management in January 2005.
