Devon-born folk visionary John Smith has announced a forthcoming live performance at Glasgow’s Classic Grand on Thursday 27th November 2008- his only Scottish date on his current tour. Friend of Scotland’s own Travis and folk legend John Renbourn, Smith’s acclaim is rightly on the rise, with growing support from the UK music press.

With a repertoire combining haunting narratives, beguiling melodies and incredible vocals, John Smith has continued to amaze audiences UK-wide since his first sell-out release, 2006’s “The Fox and the Monk”, and is becoming recognised as one of British Folk's most exciting voices.
