Airship Return To Glasgow - 9th May @ The V Club

Manchester 4-piece Airship have spent the years since their formation in Macclesfield making an irrefutably- positive reputation for themselves in the UK live music scene. Honing a style which includes anthemic choruses, a perfect harmony of soft and loud tones, and a fair degree of thrashing about, their sound is unmistakably unique. Fantastic news, then, that they have announced a Glasgow show on Saturday 9th May 2009 at Glasgow’s V Club.

"Bands like Airship are surely the envy of every aspiring musician: young, talented, almost embarrassingly accomplished instrumentalists who have the sound, the look and the ability to walk the indie-pop tightrope - pop enough to invite mass appeal, but indie enough to retain every ounce of credibility” - Sandman Magazine

Airship’s show at The V Club looks certain to prove one of the best performances yet from a band which is well on the way to going stellar in 2009. The gig will include material from their incredible EP, “Spirit of the Beehive EP”, which incorporates inspiration from the majesty of Radiohead and Mercury Rev in quiet moments with elements of crushing guitar brutality in the songs’ soaring climaxes. In addition, their May appearance is certain to exude the stage presence and musicianship that have made Airship one of Channel M Music's ones to watch in 2009, and Alt.Sound’s Tips for 2009.
